The pleasure of windows is seeing the changes of each season. The large pine, a sentinel on the corner of my drive, I have named Lily.

Snow on the branches emphasize shapes. Snow in sunlight dazzles and gives background to the colors that still exist after “the fall,” and snow at dusk, or blowing in the woods give ghostly grace.
